Conversion from ARTMAS to MATMAS

Dear Gurus,

I have a situation I dont know how to solve.

I'm setting up EDI communication between 2 SAP thru RFC.

The RFC is fine, my problem is: One of the SAP machines is working with SAP Retail and the other one is not!

I need to send Material master data from the Retail machine to the other machine.

The problem is, the retail machine creates an ARTMAS iDoc and the other machine as far as i know can only receive MATMAS iDoc. How can i solve this?

Can I send MATMAS from the Retail machine?

Hi Dear,

If you dont have XI then in ECC you can process ARTMAS IDoc with certain modifications with the help of User Exits in ECC. Its quite possible.

It seems unfortunately not standard process. I hope its on the radar of SAP to develop the standard conversion.

You can use XI in between and in mapping you will use one idoc as source and another as target. XI mapping can achieve this task for you.
