hi,
I have tried to create a weekly calendar, strating on mondays for rebate setllements. however when i enter it into the rebat agreement, i get the following error
Any suggestions:
Calendar XX Canot be used for settlement period

The error means that you need to select a Calendar for your Rebate Agreement that has working days as the period ending. Eg: For a monthly calendar, only the last working day of the month is a working day (rebate settlements can be done only on the last working day and this should be defined as a working day while all other days are non-working days).
You can use the standard, "AM - Monthly Settlement" Calendar

Please check whether you have put any constraint as "valid to" period in the settlement rule.
You can see the settlement rule many ways. One such is go to CJ20N, select the WBSE and Edit->Costs->Settlement Rule

Check these FM's:
FIRST_DAY_IN_PERIOD_GET --> To get first day of period
LAST_DAY_IN_PERIOD_GET --> To get last day of period.
You can get the date for the period, the use foll statement to get month year.
Year = date+0(4)
Month = date+4(2).
