Where would you define new storage location and assign it to Plant?/

Go to ox09, select a plant and assign a new storage location.

Hi,

Basically storage locations are not assigned to plants.. its created within the plants... we may have same names for the storage location in different plants but it always meant that the storage locations are plant specific....

Every storage location will have its own address may be plants address.. .

To create a Sloc go to img -- enterprice structure -- define -- MM -- Maintain Sloc

Give your plant name in the work area... so that you are creating the Sloc in your plant... its only for your plant... press enter ... go to new entries and create..

Materials mngment -- define storage location or Tcode : OX09

Now give yr plant in work area

enter

new entry

give a storage location name and maintain address detials..

Save

Now u have defined as well assigned storage location .. so both define and assign take place together in thisw case

Goto Tcode SPRO and Press f5 if you do not have project definition

Then select Enterprise Structure, Select Define and then Materials Management then Create Stroge Location and select the plant and create new storage location
