DP : Extension of Timeseries

We are live on SCM 5.0 on DP. We do not have SNP and PPDS.

The timeseries was created upto 12.31.2009. We would like to extend it to 12.31.2010.

What is the best way ?

Hi,

You need to initialize your planning area when ever you are doing planning, or creating Characteristic value combinations.

I would suggest maintain a variant in program /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_INITIALIZE and keep extending it monthly basis or weekly basis.

Dont try to deactivate the Planning area just to extend them, you can always extend time series while they are already there.

Hi...

Try to initialize PA using program /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_INITIALIZE ..as you want.

Please do not deinitialized other wise you will loose your data.

Just do the initialization once again and extend the date.

In may cases we use initailize the planning area and extend the time series

Hi,

Use the standard program /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_INITIALIZE to extend to the new end date.
