Maintain Organizational data Profile

I am running SolMgr 4.0 and was about to setup the Determination rules for SMSD00000002 Support Desk Service Procedure according to the Service Desk Guide of SolMgr 3.2. But I couldn't find Org. Profile SMSD00000002 or SLFN0001 in txn CRMC_ORGPROF.

Can someone enlighten me if

(a) I have to create a new org. profile for this?

(a) SMSD0000002 is 'SLFN0001' in Solmgr 4.0 context?

(b) I couldn't find Org. Model Rule 14000164 Service Org. Using Partner Attribute Cntry as well. I can only select the following listed in SolMgr 4.0:

10000144 ORGMAN_14 Sales areas incl. master data

10000148 ORGMAN_1 Org unit by means of partner number

10000159 ORGMAN_5 Check rule for sales org. data

14000146 ORGMAN_24 Org. Unit Using Transaction Type

14000161 ORGMAN_23 Org. Data Re. Master Data

14000178 CHMORG_CA CHM OrgUnit for Channel Activity

14000179 CHMORG_RFR Det. acc. P.attr. (Act, Reg, Zip, Cntry)

Please advise. Points will be awarded for helpful answers.

Hi Annie,

can you tell us what you are trying to do? It might be easier for us.

One thing I do notice is you're only looking at the Sales rules, in the pop-up where you got these vales there is a Service tab too. AC14000164 is listed there.

I would recommend reading the IMG documentation and not following the 3.2 config guide. A lot changed.

Hi Jason,

My objective at this moment is to setup Support Team Determination using SAP Component. I think I managed to get it working as I can see the messages created going into the correct team. However, I am unsure if my configuration for the Service Desk is complete and thus going through SolMgr 3.2 guide in details to ensure they are properly done.

I can see AC14000164 is listed in the Service Tab now. However, I cannot find Org. Profile SMSD00000002 Support Desk Service Procedure. I wonder if I need to create a profile for this in SolMgr 4.0 but it wasn't mentioned anywhere it needs to be created.

I referred to many documents & guides to complement one another as each of them has their strength on providing informatio. SPRO helps when one has the fundamental background. SolMgr 3.2 Guide is great for first time reading, explaining the terminologies and overall view. OSS notes and SDN blogs are straight-cut answers to see results immediately.

Resources: SDN blogs, SolMgr 3.2 Guide, txn SPRO, SAP Press Published Solution Manager, OSS notes.

One more question: How can we ensure that SAP Component is not blank/empty when the end users create the customer message? I realised that if SAP Component is blank/empty, no support team is assigned.

Regards,

Annie
