Change from own SLD to central SLD for a portal

wonder what all steps I need to take to change a portal from its own SLD to a central SLD?

Hai,

There are couple of steps to change from own SLD to central SLD.

Change the central hostname and portnumber in the SLD Data Supplier of visual administrator. Give the SLDDSUSER user and password of the central SLD server accordingly. Check with the CIMClient Test is successful or not.Once the test is successful,click on the button on the top,which will trigger data transfer to SLD.

Change the SLD_GWHOST,SLD_GWINSTANCE,SLD_HOST,SLD_PORT in the Visual administrator->Configuration Adaptor->CTC->Propertysheet System Prperties and if required change the SLD_APIPASSWD and SLD_PASSWD also.

From the ABAP side, change the hostname and Service in the RZ70 and start the Data Collector.

Once the configuration is done, you can check the same in the central SLD server.http://hostname:portname/sld->Technical systems->by selecting the WebAS ABAP and WebAS JAVA in the Technical System Type.

. Go to SLD home page. Click on Administration and set SLD data Supplier to central SLD server.

first reply is good, 2nd is not so.

An additional thing, your central SLD needs to have the runtime systems defined for the JCO and you then need to readd the JCO connections in webdynpro content administratror as they only exist in the local SLD
