Internal port

In my trace file dev_ms and trans smms in my bw system I am seeing these ports:

[Thr 1] *** I listen to port sapmsSB1 (3604) ***

[Thr 1] *** I listen to internal port 3904 (3904) ***

So port 3604 my WEB-AS message server and port 3904 is what? How does it relate to my architecture?

Yeah I'm seeing it here: rdisp/msserv_internal 3904

BI system 7.0

Points rewarded ...

Thanks,

Mike

39XX is the port for the integrated ITS.

It's an internal port.

Actually, read...

Juan,

So thats the internal port (3904) used for ITS!

So if i wanted to use a sap transaction in the portal I would configure ITS in the system landscape.

Do you have a recommendation on how ITS and WEB AS is configured there?

I currently have:

ITS host Name

mycompany.com:1443

https

Web AS Host Name

mycompany.com:1080

http

Thanks,

Mike

Not really, usually to run a transaction in the portal you use a transactional iView that use RFC to the backend system... but if you want to use it in the portal you can also call a application (like webgui) from the portal to run SAP transactions.
