PI without FQDN

Hi Experts,

Is it possible to configure XI without FQDN? I understand from many threads that FQDN is required to be maintained in host name entries in RZ10 parameter(icm/host_name_full) and exchange profile entries.

But I am looking for a configuration WITHOUT USING FQDN as my client company policies do not allow FDQN.

Please help.

I am not sure I understand why a company's policies restrict FQDN. What platform are you on?

Can you share the reasons why FQDN is not possible.
