Hi,
I'd like to learn a little more about ABAP programming. I thought about downloading the sneak preview of the SAP WAS 6.4 for ABAP and purchasing a book. I read that the SAP WAS would only provide the development technology and no module data. Could anybody recommend an ABAP book (German or English) explaining ABAP independent from any specific modules?
Regards,
Heiko
Hi Heiko,
"The Official ABAP Reference" by Horst Keller and Joachim Jacobitz is the best reference available for ABAP.

The sneak preview will not contain any modules like PP, MM, SD, HR, etc. Only the technology layer. If you would like to learn ABAP, you've come to the right place. Here is a short list of good books.
