Diff b/n middleware tools

1) what is the diff b/n webmethods(BC) and open standards(XI)?

2) what is the diff b/n XI and other middleware tools like XMII, TIBCO,WBI,etc...?

Hi Pasi s,

Actually there is nothing much differience in terms of functioning, but when u compared in terms of feasiblity we can pick a lot of differience.. why because take an example of TIBCO it contains around 40+ adapters to interact with the other systems but when u go for XI it basicalyy much deals with the SAP products and much feasibility with the SAP .. so when u want to implement EDI in such case u again need to purchase a sepearate package which supports to the XI .. so many enhance ments is requireed so interms of this each and every integratiion tools was independent..

Hi Pasi,

BC is used for HTTP, RFC and mail scenarios................but with XI you can have other adapters like SOAP, JMS, JDBC etc and moreover XI provides a central point of monitoring for the complete message flow..........

BC is also supporting for IDOC. at a present situation why all are replacing BC to XI..
