hi,
We are not able to transfer the multi modal shipment planned by TPVS to R/3 system. While transferring the log says that the shipment is transferred but in R/3 its not avialable.
A order bound to customer from a plant via hub, this uses multi modes to ship the materials. The order is from MKDP plant to a customer and sent as below.
1. Howrah Railway station (MKDP Plant) to Bangalore Railway station by Train
2. Bangalore Railway station to Customer by Truck
We have defined the hub hierarchy and shipment type is also defined. The Bangalore railway station is defined as a DC in the system. The expectation is that the system creates two seprate shipments which are interlinked, this is happening.
When we try to transfer the shipments to R/3 system the log says that the shipmetns are tranferred, but none is sent to R/3, there is no blocks in queue also.
Kindly suggest on this issue.
Regards,
Vasudevan
Make sure the Distribution Definition/Publication settings are defined correctly. You may want to do a search with those terms in this forum to get further ideas. Can you test whether manually entered Planned Order and Puchase reqs go across? Also do a Compare Reconcile on PO/Preq to see if the system senses the difference between APO and R3 system for the shipments not going across.

Hi Srinivas,
Thanks a lot for your suggestion.
The distribution definiftion was defined properly. When I checked the logs in r/3 , the error shown was
"
Disable automatic leg determination for shipment and shipment type
Service agent not copied from deliveries - none exist
No takeover of dates from a transportation chain executed
Shipment start not copied because date was already set
Creation of handling units was not successful
Error: Could not create HU
Material hubveh2 does not exist
"
The packing material hubveh1 exist in the system, couldnot get out of this error.
Kindly suggest on this.
Thanking you in anticipation.

Vasudevan
Dear Vasudevan,
Please check the following:
1). Packaging materials Hubveh1 and hubveh2 are available in both APO and R/3 systems.
2). A mapping is maintained in APO customizing for the corresponding packaging material determination.
3). Automatic Leg determination is turned off in the Shipment type customizing in R/3.
I hope you have maintained the distribution definition correctly and the correct Shipment type is being determined. This is a customizing entry too.
Once you have configured the shipment type without leg determination and it works fine, then you should look at making a transportation chain of the two shipments by choosing the right leg for the shipment in shipment type.

Ankur
