Hi all,
I understand APO is diff. from R/3 .If so,does SAP APO menu has only functionality in APO, or if the main screen after login has all modules (HR accounting etc)?
Thanks.
Try trasaction /n/scmb/menue
Then you will see APO, ICH, F&R, SCM Basis, Tools as folders etc.

Hi Somnath,
Side Question from me...
I tried to execute transaction /n/scmb/menue as provided by you...But in SCM 5.0 I am not able to locate it..
Tried to search with SE93 - Transaction code, still not able to locate it,
Following transaction list came when I searched with Menu
/SAPAPO/SCC_CON_MENU : Context Menu Profile
/SCWM/RFMENU : RF Menu Manager
MENU_MIGRATION - Menu Migration into New Hierarchy
SEARCH_SAP_MENU : Find in SAP Menu
SEARCH_USER_MENU : Find in User Menu
Anjali,
I checked in a 5.0 system in our landscape and the transaction executed - basically brought back the same screen. Technically it is not a txn but an area menu. You can see the Area Menu details (what all folders to be displayed) in SE43.
There is another txn SSM2 where you set the initial menu displayed when you loginto SAP system.
Check if its set to /SCMB/MENU in your system.
Hope this clarifies your doubt.

Hi
It depends on which version of SCM you are running, for SCM 5.0 and above you need GUI 7.10 or above which includes the extended objects by default, however if you have a lower GUI employed then see Note 889989 - Special binaries of the SCM-AddOn (SAP GUI 6.40 and higher)

I am now confused. SAP SCM is a separate application from ECC.
From the SAP Logon pad if you have ECC as a System then you need to have SCM as a separate system. NOTE: SCM (main component being APO) is NOT a module of R/3 or ECC - it is a standalone system. In fact there are multiple modules (like DP, SNP, PPDS) in APO application component of Application SAP SCM.

Doesn't SAP Marketing manage to confuse everyone, even those who have been using it for 10 years or more!
Just to help clarify for Sona:
Supply Chain Management (or SAP SCM) is split into three parts:
Planning: which is mainly what us older consultants refer to as SAP APO
Execution: Mostly the ECC part and includes what used to be referred to in modular terms as SD, MM, PP,etc
Collaboration: The old ITS server web-portal stuff with suppliers and customers
The term SCM covers all of the above but requires several different servers and systems to give a complete solution.
Have a look at the SAP website to give you an overview of how this all fits together.

Hi
In SCM APO you will able to see only SCM - Supply chain modules names and not the same modules which are present in SAP R/3.
Belive me the contents may be diffrent but the Screen Layout is same as SAP/R3... Look may feel diffrent because of Higher GUI version used in SCM
Basic Menu SCM 5.0 under SAP Menu are as follows
--> Office
--> Advanced Planning and Optimization
--> Forecasting and Replenishment
--> Inventory Collaboration Hub
--> Event Management
--> Extended Warehouse Management
--> SCM Basis
--> Tools
