We have a clusterd installation of SRM 5.5.
We have the following:
NodeA
server1
cluster node
server4
NodeB
server2
Clusrter node
server5
We will be using an active/Active Cluster where SAP is running on server4 and the Database is running on server5
server1 has a CI installation and server2 has a DI installation.
What should be the value of icm/host_name_full on each server?
CI
server1.mycompany.com
or
server4.mycompany.com
DI
server2.mycompany.com
server5.mycompany.com

hi
it should be the virtual hostname of the cluster of the CI.
in your example: server4.mycompany.com

Hai,
If SAP is running on cluster 4,then the icm hostname will be - server4.mycompany.com .But,what is meant by CI and DI installations on cluster 1 and 2.
Is there any multiple clusters ?
Thanks and Regards,

Hi,
How many hardware hosts do you have in your cluster ?
I don't understand how you have 4 servers for only 2 nodes.
Do you mix up host names and cluster aliases ?
Is your cluster MSCS or is it a Unix kind ?
I cannot answer your question because I don't understand the description of your configuration.

Olivier

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
We have a MSCS Cluster wirh two servers running W2003.
The Physical Host names are:
server1 and server 2
The cluster Group hostname for SAP is server4 and the cluster Group hostname for Oracle is server5
Anyway it seems SAP Note 773830 has answered my question.
