PO: Customizing of Item Type

Hi all,

is it possibile to customize the item type of PO?

For example, can I choose (not using the badi) the list of item type that appears in the combo box in the PO transaction?

I need to give Material an Service to the process type ZB10

and the Material and limit to the process type (document type) to ZB11.

Is it possible?

Hi,

There is no configuration to select item category automatically, you have to use BADI to populate the item category autotically.

Enzo,

a) I guess you are talking abt Item category. For the transaction type that you have defined in SRM, you would maintain the same in R/3. At this point you can specify what all Item category are allowed for the doucment type.

For example for PO in R/3 SPRO -> MM -> Purchaing -> Purchase Order -> Define document type -> select the doucment type and click on "Allowed Item Categories" found on the left hand side. Here you can maintain which all item categories are allowed for the doucment type.

b) After maintain the list of item category for document type, for example Service PO would that u create in SRM would always pick up D Service as Item category. Other goods would pick up <blank> Standard Item category
