ME 2.1 Sync Problem

Former Member

Hi All,

This is with regards to ME 2.1.

We have a copy of QA box that we would like to use/test ME. This is not working. It IS working on our Production box though. This is the 1st time we are trying to test it on the copy of QA box, so im thinking our Basis people might just have not se up something right.

Basically, the problem comes in when I try to sync to the copy of QA box for the 1st time to obtain a device ID ect... If I sync to the Production, I get everything I need.

When, however, I press the "Sync" menu item in attempt to sync to the QA box, the GUI just goes "blank". Seriously. Instead of saying "Sync completed" or whatever, the screen just goes blank. Also, if I then go to see if a device ID has been assigned, there is no entry...

Here is the trace. I have highlighted the bit where I think the problem might start.

MAX POINTS WILL BE REWARDED

Hi,

while you are on ME2.1 - do the SYNC URL check in the browser - look into the setup guide for ME2.1.

There is a file in the file system called ABC.props -this needs to be edited for the used server. Check if this was done properly.

In 2.1 - well, the setup was an easy, straight forward process with just a few settings. Most likely one of the two things above should point you to the error.

Oliver
