Automatic GRN

We are Pantaloon Food Products India Ltd.Our Business Model is as follows:

Produce packets of 1Kg., 2 Kg, 5Kg rice, wheat etc at a Central DC and despatch it to KB Fair Price shops coming at various household loacalities.

In the system we are sending such articles by preparing STO, Outbound delivery & PGI from Central DC which is mapped as a Site to KBFP stores which is again mapped as a Site in the system.

Presently we are doing manual GRN w.r.t.OBD to update the stock of KBFP Stores.Now our business wants that there shall be automatic GRN created at KBFP Stores level the moment PGI is done at the DC level.

Can anyone suggest if this feature is possible in SAP.If yes, what is the additional configuration which needs to be done.Pl suggest.

Hi

If KB faireprice runs on SAP then they can send a 846 GR idoc which will gr the STO.

IF KB fair price is not running on SAP then they send a flat file and this can be mapped at EDI level to segments of the idoc. The EDI mapping will create a idoc for this of 846 type and will post this to STO.

In this case u will need to create a new idoc type, setup the partner profile, jobs for processing the idoc. You can use standard FM to process 846 or can create a Z* function module.
