Hi,
Can anybody please tell me how to identify a particular system is ides or non-ides.
I know that we can expect this by database size, intial screen, clients(800).
But we can change these all things mannually so these are not standard.
Can anybody tell me the standard thing to identify IDES and NON-IDES.
i will award points for helpfull answers
regards,
raju.
You check label.asc in exports ...if it is ides it will be mentioned there ..

It should be displayed as an IDES system on the logon screen. And after you login, the image to the right of the menu should have a graphic that also shows the system to be a DEMO/IDES system. Do you not see these?

Also :
1)IDES is installed as a separate system with it's own set of data in different clients!
The IDES model cannot be merged into an existing system nor should IDES be merged with other models.
Client transports are not availble.
2)IDES should only be operated as a seperate installation. Each new release requires a new installation
