Hi all.
SRM 4.0.
We have many users that have passwords consisting of more than 8 characters, and this is not an issue when they log on to the SRM. However, when they then later on try to Go Shopping for example, they are once again met with the Log On screen of SRM, and here they cannot use the password if it is more than 8 characters.
Now I am no Basis shark, so is there a way to restrict the password of the user to be no more than 8 characters?
Hi Dennis,
instead of restricting pw to max 8 characters, why not increase the inputfield for the password to reflect the long passwords?
Take a look at the following notes:
Note 758252 - Length adjustment for user names + password (this note restricts to 8 characters and this is probably already implemented in your system)
Note 969091 - SRM does not support passwords longer than 8 characters (This is what you need in my opinion - however this note applies to SRM_SERVER 5.5 so check if you can implement it, else raise an OSS message and ask for a downport referring to this note).
Regards,
Robin
