Warehouse and storage loc assignment

Hi,

What is the reason for WH being uniquly assigned to storage location while a single plant can have multiple storage location.

Hi Prakash,

A Warehouse number determines the structure of a warehouse. In inventory posting you normally enter plant and storage location. If this combination(plant/storage location) is warehouse managed,the system has to determine the unique warehouse number. For this purpose,the only solution is to assign a single warehouse with a single plant/storage location combination.

Hi prakash,

ware house number assigned to plant and storage location. It is the assignment of standard sap. We can maintain number storage location for a single plant and at the same time we can get material from warehouse from storage locations. I hope this will help you to understand query.
