Work In Progress for Billing

HI Gurus,

My Client is a Software company. They are providing JAVA services to one Customer.We Created JAVA as Service Material In SAP and UoM is Hrs.Hour rate is 23$.

This Month they worked on JAVA for 500 hrs for the Customer, But this month they want to bill only for 200 Hrs( 20023$=4600$), remaining 300hrs(30023$=6900$) they want to show them as Work In Progress, they want to bill for the 300 (300*23$=6900$) hrs in next month, so in SAP how can we Show these 300hrs as Work in Progress to the Customer.

Hi

You can define a particular storage location where the unit will be posted if the work is in progress.

So consider u have a sales order for 500 hrs u have can 500 hrs in WIP storage location.

Now u want to have a 200 hrs billing as it is completed. Hence create a delivery of 200 units and a o/p will propose on the delivery header which will move the stock of 200 hrs from WIP to WCO (Work completed).

Now u can GI the delivery as GI will look at WCO stock. eHence u will have billing for 200 hrs and remaing 300 will remain in WIP

Dear Friend,

If I can understand your problem ...here Java is the material and the hours is the quantity.

Now you can do a sales order with one line item as

1. Java 200 Hours

2. Java 300 Hours

The two seperate line items in the order and do the cyle and in the billing cycle.....

go to VF01 and press F2 and select the 200 Hour line item and bill the same .

Thus the other line item will be delivered but not billed.
