This is a third-party order. In spro, i haved configured as following:

Order type "TA" + item cat Group "BANS" + Usage (blank) + High level (blank) =

DfItC "TAS", MItCa "TAN", MItCa "TANN", MtCa "TAW"

Questions:

1. TAN iso TAS was defaulted when sales order creation.

2. Question 1 remained the same, even i changed Usage, High level.

Pls help solve. Thx.

ps. the material is configurated as BANS.

Hi

Have you checked the Item Category Group in the Material Master Record (for BANS).

Thanks,

Hi,

First, the item category in sales document is determined by the combination of Sales document type+Item category group(BANS). there is no need for Usage and Higher level item category unless...in BOM.

As u said U have configured the same, then try to create a sales document using the sales document type , the one which u maintained in configureatin and also check the item category group in ur material master record.

Schedule line category for TAS is CS.

Praveen

HI

Please maintain the higher level item cat as TAS instead of blank in customization and try....

Order type "TA" + item cat Group "BANS" + Usage (blank) + High level TAS =

DfItC "TAS", MItCa "TAN", MItCa "TANN", MtCa "TAW"

Just check i think it should work....

Reward if helpful....

Hi all, the problem has not been solved.

Actually, TAS does not pop in the possible entries (Item Category) when order creation. While CP instead of CS is in the schedule line category.

PS. i have configured Item category "TAS" + MRP type "PD" + Schedule line category "CS". And the material's MRP type is PD.

Pls help. Thx again.

HI Cathy,

Everything seems ok except your order type, you say you have configured Order Type "TA"

Is it a customized order type created by your project because i dont think TA is a standard order type.

If Order type TA is present make sure that You created Sales Order using Order Type as "TA".

May be you used some other order type while creating the sales order like OR.

Hope it helps

Hi,

IF u have configured Item category determination for TAS, check with your Material Master record, Item category group field. See whether NORM is maintained?

Hi

Please check the Item Category Group value(should be BANS) given in the Material Master Records of that particular material you are using in the order.

Thanks,

Ravi
