We are currently working on a SRM Project and our development server is readt now. We are planning to now move to Quality Server. Can anybody tell me the stratergy to shift from Development server to Quality server. Also In development system we have created logical system which referes to backend R/3 system. Now when we are moving to Quality system it will refer to different R/3 backend system. So should we copy CR related to creation of logical system or should we once again create logical system. Can some body guide on this.
Thansk in advance
Hi,
Recommendations :
1. Perform a fresh copy of QAS system instead of system copy from DEV and hen apply approved transports. Reason : there are often unconfirmed developments and test data (simply saying: garbage) on DEV, so this way you avoid moving then to QAS/PRD systems. Generally - Avoid refreshing any systems from DEV. The only acceptable system refresh is from PROD system (usually performed for QAS/TEST system), which has clean/accepted and tested configuration
2. Logical systems : is is better to create them directly on the system. Logical systems are specific for server type/landscape part (DEV/QAS/PRD) and shouldnt be transported. So you usually connect DEV<>DEV, QAS<>QAS, and accordingly you define required logical systems.

Thanks for your reply.
Can you please tell me how should i go ablot BADIS, Workflows and ORg Unit created. How they should be copied to Quality system. Will Exporting/importing WB requests and then doing Remote client copy with SAP_CUST will be ok or just Import / Export Cust requests amd WB requests will help.
Hello Sapbasis,
Please use transports for everything ie. moving the changes made in development. For logical system create a new logical system for the QAS R/3 backend in SRM dev server and transport it as well. .
After that run a BDLS which convert the logical system from DEV R/3 to QAS R/3.
Regards.
Ruchit.
