Connection timed out error in ftp adapters

Former Member

Hi All,

I have integrated two ftp servers by using FTP adapter as sender and receiver.

But the process is not started as it is giving the error ConnectException:Connection timed out.

I applied the note 849089.(ftp.timeout=timeoutSecs) here i have given the value 60 ,but still it is giving the same error.

Please suggest me in this regard.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Check the server details and the user credentials for the ftp server you are using and check whether you have provided the correct path in the ftp server.

Also try to login to the ftp server which you have mentioned in CC using the user name and pwd, to chk whether you have the permissions to login to the server.

Also the check whether the folder you are trying to access is having permission for delete/read/write.

Increase the time out(secs) value in the adapter configuration and check whether Terminate Program After Timeout indicator is set or not

Hi,

Try to ping the FTP server with given address. It will confirm about teh connectivity with FTP server.

Try out with the connection mode as Permanant in communication channel.

Thanks

Check if there exist any firewall between two ftp servers. If yes, then port has to be opened for that.

2) check the login id and password

3) check the directory path where the file is placed.

only some clues here for u 2 cross check..

1. check if the path is right

2. check the names of the files also

3. check if both the servers are live

4. check the rwb for more details.
