Hi folks,
I have basic question to ask.
What is the difference between:
Incoming order, open order, open delivery , open billing and finally open items.
thanx in advance ,
sourav
hi,
the exact meaning of open in SD would be
all those processes whose next consecutive step is still to be performed are regarded as open.
if its items, order or delivery.
this means that some of the processes which are required for its completion are left.
regards,
Siddharth.

hello, friend.
1. incoming order is a general term used in SIS to refer to order quantities in the sales order
2. open orders are sales orders where subsequent transactions (e.g. deliveries billing for order related items) have not been created
3. open deliveries refer to those that have not been processed for picking and goods issue and billed
4. open billing refers to billing documents not yet posted to accounting (whether deliberately using posting block or due to errors)
5. open items refer to all of the above.
regards.

Hi Sourav,
Answers to your queries:
Incoming order - one which you are expecting from a cusotmer
open order - one which is not delivered
open delivery - one which is not billed
open items - the items in a sales order which are not yet processed, which means not delivered
I hope this will clarify everything.
