Product Substitution ( Material Determination) in Project Systems

I have been using Product Substitution in Sales Orders. Can anyone inform me how to use them in Project Systems. Say, while adding material in CJ20N, I want the material to be automatically substituted by the substitute material.

Hi,

Follow-up material gets automatically selected in networks if follow-up material is maintained in MRP4 view of material master. However, product substitution what you have mind could be something else ?

I am also stuck with the same confusion if material Determination is applicable to PS.

I am getting the substitute material as a subitem with the same reservation number but the requirement is generated for the 1st item.

I want the requirement to be generated for the second item.

Pls guide if u have figured out something...
