Steps for Outbound ABAP Proxy interface

Can anyone tell me the steps for creating outbound interface. My scenario is R/3 ->(using ABAP Proxy)XI-> Legacy system.

What I need to do in SLD, ABAP Proxy.can anyone please browse me thru the steps as this is my first outbound interface in Xi 3.0.
