Hi to all:

I am installing ECC in AIX with RDBMS Oracle 10.2.0.2 in Productive System in HA mode with HAMP. When balancing the services Cluster I have problems starting SAP.

I have executed the R3trans –x and this is the log file:

In node 2 of a Cluster System I have the Test instance. The solution that we proposed is with two instances of RDBMS Oracle (one in Node 1, and other in Node 2) for productive system. In Node 2, we have 2 instances of Oracle in Node 2.

How I can see with what user and password the R3trans try to connect to database??

I have read the following notes:

Note 400241

Note 50088

Note 361641

I am trying with this script that I have readed in NOTE 361641 :

sqlplus /NOLOG @?/rdbms/admin/oradbusr.sql SAPPRD UNIX PRD X;

But these throw No Match. I think the problem is that I have not filled the fields with correct values.

If I executed this script:

SELECT OWNER FROM DBA_TABLES WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'T000';

The result is:

SAPSR3

The SAP System ID (SAPSID) = PRD

Database ID (DBSID) = PRD

Thanks you very much in advance!!!

Hi Guys,

Just one thing else I'd like to add, regarding the issue with SAPUSER table error in case you're running the R3trans -d | -x with ora<SID> (instead of <SID>adm account):

As already stated, the SAPUSER table is owned by OPS$<SID>ADM database user and, besides grant to select on that table to the OPS$ORA<SID> database user, it also requires to be created a public synonym SAPUSER for OP$<SID>ADM.SAPUSER table.

Try that out and it should solve it.

I hope it helps...

Cheers,

-Felipe

Hi,

as what user have you executed "R3trans -x"?

The problem is not the ORA-01017, you get this one because you are not using the default password and SAP is not able to retrieve that password from the SAPUSER table. The first error you get is:

> 4 ETW000 http://dbsloci. ,00000 *** ERROR => ORA-942 when accessing table SAPUSER

find out who is the owner of this table (select owner from dba_tables where table_name='SAPUSER')

In a unix system that should be the OPS$<SID>ADM (that could change if you have performed a system copy)

your SAPSID is PRD, the answer of the first questions should be "prdadm", the answer to the second shoudl be ops$prdadm. I assume the first one is the key

The issue has nothing to do with os_authent_prefix or "uppercase"

I have executed the R3trans -x with oraprd user.

The answer to your query is:

SQL> select owner from dba_tables where table_name='SAPUSER';

OWNER

-

OPS$PRDADM

I have executed the R3trans also with prdadm, this is the result:

epsbgst:prdadm 7> cat trans.log

I have read the note 662644 and I have executed the query as follow:

epsbgst:oraprd 1> sqlplus /nolog

SQL*Plus: Release 10.2.0.2.0 - Production on Sun Mar 16 16:24:17 2008

Copyright (c) 1982, 2005, Oracle. All Rights Reserved.

SQL> connect /as sysdba

Connected.

SQL> desc t000;

ERROR:

ORA-04043: object t000 does not exist

SQL> desc sapr3.t000;

ERROR:

ORA-04043: object sapr3.t000 does not exist

Any idea ??

Hi. I'm think you have problem with tnsnames.ora or sqlnet.ora. Check both files. If you have other server with running SAP on them you can copy this files and adapt from

current SAP server. Read about NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH

maybe need this.

Also read the Note 609332.

regards.

Hi,

That is your first mistake.

oraprd user is configured to administer Oracle, not SAP. R3trans -x has to be executed as prdadm.

All the OPS$ mechanism is to be used by prdadm and you keep using it as oraprd:

lots of ideas

1.-

> epsbgst:oraprd 1> sqlplus /nolog

you are connecting as user ops$oraprd. Unless you have done "something" special, this user is not created by SAP and should not have access to any SAP tables. That is one of the reasons you should not try R3trans -x as this user

2.-

> SQL> connect /as sysdba

Now you connect as SYS user with sysdba authorizations.

> SQL> desc t000;

table t000 belongs to the SAP schema not to the SYS schema. It is a normal error

3.-

>SQL> desc sapr3.t000;

>ERROR:

>ORA-04043: object sapr3.t000 does not exist

clear, your SAP schema is NOT SAPR3. Looking at your data your SAP schema is SAPSR3 (you mistyped the schema name)

4.- I do not think Sergo is correct (at least with the current information) it seems that your listener is not running.

When you execute R3trans -x with the correct OS user you are getting the following error:

> 4 ETW000 http://dboci.c ,00000 *** ERROR => OCI-call 'OCIServerAttach' failed with rc=12541

ORA-12541 is selfexplanatory (at teh end of the trace file you have the description:

>4 ETW000 dblink ,00431 **LOG BY0=>ORA-12541: TNS:no listener* dblink#3 @ 431

I hope it is clear now and i have not forgotten anything (it is a little long answer)

Hi Fidel. The Juan Carlos Castillo wrote :

"The listener are running with oraprd user"

therefore I have suggested to check up tnsmames and sqlnet files. Regards.

Hi,

sorry, I miss that part (even when it is clearly there)

you are correct, starting point would be note 609332

Thanks you to all.

And in what there was a problem?

In Note 620540 - Authentication Troubleshooting Guide I have read this:

ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

This problem is usually a setup or configuration issue with the Oracleserver.

Possible cause:

1. Problem: os_authent_prefix is set. It is a mandatory requirement that os_authent_prefix not be set to a non-null value when using kerberos authentication. This is set in the init.ora file or the spfile..

Action: Connect to the database as system and run the query:

select value from v$parameter where name = 'os_authent_prefix';

If a value other than null is returned then either edit the init.ora or change the spfile, then restart the instance.

2. Problem: Username is not uppercase. In order for a user to be kerberos authenticated the database username must be explicitly created as uppercase.

Action: Connect to the database as system and run the query :

select username, password from dba_users;

Check that the user is in uppercase, if not then recreate the user. Also check that the password is defined as #EXTERNAL# to ensure it will be externally authenticated.

RESULTS:

SQL> select username, password from dba_users;

In Point 1 SAP says if a value other than null is returned then either edit the init.ora or change the spfile, then restart the instance. What changes do you think that I have do in init.ora or spfile.

THANKS YOU in advance
