SLD Configuration

Hi,

Kindly let me know the configuration steps of SLD.

Here i m using ECC6.0 backend with EP7.0. I have been installed nw2004s.

Here how to configure SLD, need step by step procudere. I hav reffered few links, which talks about older versions.

I case of EP7.0, how to configre sld. and also how to configure SLD data at visual administration.

Hi all you have to do is to log on to your EP7 portal with /sld at last i.e.

http://mycompany.com:50000/sld

you will find 5 option on the first line,

Home, Adminsitration, LogOff, Help, About.

Click on Help ... it will open an SLD Config Document attached by SAP for the version you are currently running on.

Belive me in this you will get One to Last Config.

Hi,

Login to J2EE System using J2EE_ADMIN user,

Select SAP NETWEAR ADMINISTRATOR -> Deploy & Change tab, Execute template “SLD system: Configure & activate SLD”

after providing the system details click on install.

Hi,

I hav been configured in Visual Administrator, as well as i hav created a technical system for abap in SLD.

But after creating a JCO destination and when i test, i m getting below error

check the host name defined on your SLD

I provided the host name of R/3 at SLD. its correct host name. Even thoguh i m getting same error,

Ny other suggessions?

Hai,

There are couple of steps to change for SLD Configuration.

Change the central hostname and portnumber in the SLD Data Supplier of visual administrator. Give the SLDDSUSER user and password of the central SLD server accordingly. Check with the CIMClient Test is successful or not.Once the test is successful,click on the button on the top,which will trigger data transfer to SLD.

Change the SLD_GWHOST,SLD_GWINSTANCE,SLD_HOST,SLD_PORT in the Configuration Adaptor->CTC->Propertysheet System Prperties and if required change the SLD_APIPASSWD and SLD_PASSWD also.

From the ABAP side, change the hostname and Service in the RZ70 and start the Data Collector.

Once the configuration is done, you can check the same in the central SLD server.http://hostname:portname/sld->Technical systems->by selecting the WebAS ABAP and WebAS JAVA in the Technical System Type.

Here in my portal there is no user available with the id SLDDSUSER...What should i do now?

Hai,

Give any Administrator id.If in case,if you change the password of this id in the future,u need to update here also accordingly....

I gave administrator id only....Its bit urgent..Please clarify this doubt...

Hi Venkat,

I'm catching a plane for my holidays in afew and I hope the below can help you. Check if you administrator has the the LcrAdministrator action. if not, do the below.

1) Create a role SLD_Admin and assign the action ‘LcrAdministrator’

to the role.

2) Assign the SLD_admin role to the group ‘Administrators’. In this way, sld access is managed by the group ‘Administrators‘

Also check if your SLD bridge is configured with correct parameters.

Afterwards, restart the SLD and verify the connection to the gateway is up.

In visual administrator, i hav been opened SLD data supplier.

Here under http settings tab, i mentioned below details:

host:10.08.6.58

port:50100

user:adminstrator

pwd:******(adminstrator password)

I save and clicked on the button trigger data transfer to SLD.

I m getting success message data has been transfered successfully.

But in information tab, send result failed i m getting.

wer i m wrong, kindly guide me please.

Hi,

Give hostname and not IP address. Others are fine. Also in HTTP Client settings, check all the applications which have lcr and webdynpro keywords. Now save it and check.

Also check user name. I think you have mentioned administrator only?
