SP Stack 14 on Netweaver PI 7.0-PI_BASIS 2006_1_2007 SAPKIPYM01-SAPKIPYM04

Former Member

Hello,

On a SAP NetWeaver 2004s PI 7.0 (AS JAVA + AS ABAP + PI 7.0), I am moving from the SP Stack 9 to SP Stack 14.

The PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 (SAPKIPYM01, SAPKIPYM02, SAPKIPYM03 and SAPKIPYM04 {no notes are attached with these SPs}) is suggested to be installed as part of the AS ABAP SPs.

1) The first question is if this really required for the PI system I got.

2) If it is required, then when I tried to import via SPAM, the error "OCS package SAPKIPYM01 does not match the current software component vector - Message no. TN543", how can I overcome this msg and move on with the queue definition.

As a reference, I am including the partial view of the SPSTab.xml with the suggested PI_BASIS component below.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Regards,

What is your current PI_BASIS version?? More than likely it is 2005_1....

You will need to download the 2006 delta upgrade package (under installations) and install it with transaction SAINT. Only then will you be able to apply the support packages for it.

Hi Hugo

I think your component was PI_BASIS 2005_1_700 and you want to install PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 as well ?. So you Installed PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 rather than upgrade using SAINT ?

Hi ,

I have to install the PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 on SCM 5.0.

I have downloaded the files

KIPYM01.CAR

KIPYM02.CAR

KIPYM03.CAR

KIPYM04.SAR

KIPYM05.SAR

I have Uncared the files in /usr/sap/trans and the respective ATT and PAT files are copied to /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in

Now i log on to 000 client [user id other than SAP* and DDIC] and go to SAINT -> Load Packages From Application server

And i go back (F3), but i can not find the new "PI_BASIS 2006_1_700" in the list of Add-Ons

SPAM/SAINT version 7.00 Patch 27.

Previous Patch level = SAPKIPYJ7D PI_BASIS 2005_1_700: patch 0013

Pleae advice, am i missing something?

Hi!

It seems like you have not downloaded the needed sapcar archieve

KINBC9A.SAR (for PI_BASIS 2006_1_700) which is first needed to upgrade/install to PI_basis KINBC9A.SAR (for PI_BASIS 2006_1_700).

Download the required CD from SAP Service Marketplace to a temporary directory. the Material number for PI_BASIS 2006_1_700: 51032426.

You can get all the details on PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 on note 1007796

Thank you.

Check Note 1089857 - OCS: Incorr evaluation of software component prerequisites.

Let me know if its still not solved the issue

The Note 1089857 is intended for SPAM/SAINT Version 700/0024, in my case as part of the SP stack 14, I imported the SPAM/SAINT Version 700/0026 since the begining, and with this version I got the same sympton described by the note.

However, knowing that I am using the 26 version, I implemented the note and try it, it did not work.

I'll revert back the note and I guess I'll follow up with the SAP team who generated this note.

Regards.
