Hello
Can someone provide advice on this ?
Is it sensible to use SAP Content Server for data archiving ? Even though SAP DB is used, it has enough capacity (64 TB per database) to store archived data.
What are the arguments against using SAP content server as an archiving storage (except that it is SAP DB and not integrated with external storage media) ?
Also, if above is possible, can multiple SAP operational systems use a single SAP content server as their archiving repository ??
Thanks
Regards Alok
Alok,
Did you ever get to find out answers to your questions? I have a similar thought to you regarding using Content server for archiving (and multiple systems as well).

You may use the SAP Content server for data archiving. If you use content server, you may not be be able to satisfy the legal requirements as SAP content server cannot support a WORM devise.
SAP do not recomment using SAP CS for Data archiving as well. SAP CS could be best used as a temporary content stoarge for non legal document images.
