Hi all,
We are planning to install SAP IDES 4.7 Enterprise edition on Windows 2003 server, Oracle 9i.
We have 80gb hdd, 1gb ram.
Is 80gb of hdd sufficient?
If yes, how do i partition it?
How much should i reserve for OS, SAP?
I tried installing it and i got a hdd space problem.
Can you please help me out. If possible can u forward the installation guide to my mail id - sowmya142004@gmail.com.
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Sowmya K
Hai Sowmya
You can install 4.7 IDES Version very easily on 80GB H/Disk
1st create a partition with 5gb as c drive and install windows 2003 on it.Next create 75gb as d drive and install sap on it.
If you need any help, please let me know
Good Luck

Hi,
you need to dump all export DVD's on hard disk before start installation.
if you are out of space on hard disk then in this case try to free some space on hard disk by deleting unwanted file
or if you have usb drive the move EXPORT1 and export2 on USB drive.
and retry the installation.

kaushal
Hi Sowmya,
You can installed 4.7 on 80 GB HDD.
Please apply below method and you will installed successfully.
To make 2 partition of HDD
1. partition C for 10 GB
2. partition D for balance
Install os on c and set paging file your ram * 4 + 500
install oracle and sap on partition D. I hope you will be able to install. In case you find any problem pls mail me on my id anilksatya@yahoo.com

Does this mean the process in hanged or is it running?
Best Regards,
Sowmya K
Hi,
Yes it is running. Its running with 3 processes parallel to each other.
Once all the processes are complete your installation will be complete.
In case any errors it will automatically stop and inform you about the error.
Also please open a new thread in the forum if you come across an error as the headline is a bit mis-interpreted.
Regards,
Suhas
Check the official installation guide at
