Hello Frnds

I am a fresher and very much interested in learning XI. Can u please provide me with the details:

1. where do i write the certification.

2. how do i apply for it.

3. when does this certification happen.

4. how to prepare for the certification.

5. Do i have to have 80% above in my academics or a prior experience in XI to write the certification.

6. how much should i score toget qualified.

7. wat are the growth opportunities and once certified how do i apply to the companies.

I am new to SDN community and i will be very happy if i am guided with answers which have been unresoved for a quite long time.

I ve a little knowledge on ABAP and now learning XI. I ve been to SIEMENS and GENOVATE educational istitutions and got no PROPER ANSWER from them and one of them told me i am not eligible to write the certification in XI without prior experience in SAP. I am very much confused. PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY QUERIES.

Hi,

In India, one way to take XI certification would be to attend the SAP provided training for XI. I dont know the cost of training for the same, but I know that SAP allows you to take up one attempt for the XI certification after the training without extra costs.

If you want to take up the XI certification without any training by SAP, then you will have to provide a certificate from your employer that you have the requsite experience in XI and SAP.

Hi Swarup,

Thk u for da reply.

So u say its possible to get certified in XI only through an educational institution or by an employer.

So there is no other way i can directly write in to SAP for attending only for the certification rather than traning.

And also can u please tell me if i write this certification from SIEMENS will i get placed as a fresher without any experience in SAP before.

Hi lalam,

No there is no other way.

There are only two ways which Swarup has already told you.

May be you can get benefit if you are a direct employee of SAP.

And also can u please tell me if i write this certification from SIEMENS will i get placed as a fresher without any experience in SAP before.

You can take a training but nobody can give assurance for the job. Companies may hire you as you have done certification as there are very less people available with certification these days. It totally depends on what kind of projects they are having.

Hi,

To be honest, No one will gurentee about placement else everybody might have go for the Training institute and might have done the course.

For SAP Certification, there is no alternative way other than SAP Authorizaed Training Institutes like Simens, Genovate etc.

Or by your employer recomendations for Certification.

You could go for SAP Tech Ed for the certification but I think for that you need to be part of any of the Employer to apply for the certification.

Getting job will be based on the Skill sets you will be developed.

There are many XI Gurus available who have not completed any certification but from SDN and from many available study materials have explored themself.

Based on their knowledge these guyes are placed in various organizations.

Probably after exploring you will have to search for job again but there will be advantage (a upper hand compaer to others ) of having Training from SAP institutes

Thanks

Hi Sirisha,

First thing u have to be clear with the subject and ask for the certification,

regarding to the certification, u have an option of appearing directly or through an employer,

but if u want to appear as an employee atleast u should have worked to the company for an year, and at the same time there is no eligibility according to the academic wise and for the qualify i think the marks was around 65 to 75 so if u got aroud this u are an certified

and regarding to the subject as u said u are new u should be well known with the basics of XI and why the netweaver tool is and what are the topics that to be covered in preparing XI for that a many number of links was posted by the Nithya..

refer it and post any doubt regarding to the subject concern
