I would like to know the definition of "check quanttiy 0" in item category of delivery.

There is 4 options

No dialog

A Note about the situation

B dismiss situation with error message in create / change mode

I set C to control the delivery with 0 quantity , but the delivery document still can be saved with Zero quantity

Cloud someone tell the what the problem?Thank you very much!

hi SOphia

Check qty 0: Specifies whether you can create an item that has a zero qty and if you do, how the system reacts.

check document catergory, copy control, and sales document type.

note: check item , may be your item wil be text item else check item's relevant item category.

Hi,

Checks for zero quantity

Specifies whether you can create an item that has a zero quantity and, if you do, how the system reacts.

Example

If, for example, in a delivery without reference to a sales order, you create an item and enter a material without a delivery quantity, the system gives you a warning before you can continue.

Thanks & Regards

Dear Sasikanth.Ch,

Sorry,I can not use my "Reply" funciton some days before.

I want to use the "C" -

dismiss the situtation with error message on in create mode.

But I still can create a delivery with 0 quantity whereby the item category set "C".

Can u or someone share me?

Thanks and regards,

try to set B there (Check qnty 0)

after that create new order/delivery and check

_________________________

a bit another way is

to set B in field "Check minimum qty"

and specify the minimum delivery quantity in the

-material master record

-customer-material info record

hello, sophia.

the default SAP settings in check quantity 0 for item category is blank. that means you can create an order for a material even if this is not available in the inventory at that time. when this is the case, you create an outbound delivery, save it and the system generates a document number. however, for materials with relevance to inventory, you cannot view this document even if a document number is assigned to it, precisely because the delivery does not contain anything.

this setting is alright for text items, but could be problematic when you are using item category TAN. the system gives you other options, as follow:

A - Note about the situation (warning only, and you can still save the document with an assigned number)

B - dismiss the situation with error message in create/change mode

C - dismiss the situation with error message in create mode

with either B or C, you will still be able to create delivery with 0 quantity, but you will not be able to save it. i usually enter 'B' for item category TAN to avoid needlessly saving a document i cannot see later on.

regards.
