on the Shop Floor when you implement RFID. You can track the status of the stock on your RFID and any updates if you would like to do you can do it from the RFID device itself. For this you can use the Scanners which the employees working in the Shop Floor will carry and will be able to do the necessary activity based on the Profile Definition.

All the documents for rfid revolve only on warehouse management. I was not able to get any information on rfid for shopfloor and even the standars sap configurations have been given for WM . SO please if you do have any more information which could completely clarify implementation and configuration of rfid for shopfloor in particular with any kind of case study will be of great help.
