Why we require receiver idoc adapter configuration as communication channel ,as idoc adapter runs on Integration engine?

Hi,

Even though the IDOC adapter runs on Integration engine, we need to convert the normal xml payload to IDOC-XML format. Thus there is need of receiver idoc adapter configuration.

Thus on sender side there is no need of defining the sender agreement for IDOC but on receiver side it is required.

Thanks

hi

we required receiver idoc adapter because xi message at the integration engine needs to be converted int to idoc structure

and xi also needs to know the login credentials for entering the sap r/3 system which we specify in any receiver adapter

Hi

we require the IDoc adapter at the receiver side because when configure the receiver idoc adapter it will send the idoc data to the R/3 system.

Basically in the idoc receiver adapter u define the R/3 system details on which system u r sending the data.

Thanks

Hi,

The IDoc adapter converts the IDocs to IDoc XML format so that they can be processed by the Integration Server pipeline.

Hence it is requird at Receiver side.

Refer the section of Integration in below link which shows the flow with screen shots.

hi

sender communciation channel not required for idoc as it resides in integration engine . as data will goes to integration engine directly..

where as if it is in reciever side communciation channel has to send the data to r/3 system

thats y for sender no need of communciation channel for idocs

bu reciever side we have to configure for idocs
