Hi gurus
can any one explain me how the cross division will be useful. can anyone explain me in a better way through an example.
thanks in advance
hi,
assuming there are 4 divisions to a pharma company like
a) Cardio b) Diabetic c) Paediatric, 3 divisions.
You will have customers(Dealers) buying all these products and selling in the local markets. In such case when we create a customer master in SAP, we need do it for a given sales area which is a combinatin of sales org + Dis Chan + Div. In the above example there will be minimum 3 sales areas because there are three divisions. Now instead creating the Customer master in 3 sales areas, we identify one division say '00" as cross division and assign the above 3 divisions to this one. So in such case we can create the customer master in just one sales area where the div is cross div. He will be available in the remaining divisions also. Similarly we can also common distributin channels. for which we have VOR1 and VOR2 transactions.
Hope thie explanation is clear and simple.
regards
sadhu kishore

hi rack,
say X is a cust of ur comp n say he is doing business for 10 divisions.
instead of assigning the comb of sales org + Dist Ch------>to 10 divisions.
u will maintain a cross division say 00 and for dat cross division ull assign all the 10 divisions.
now u can directly assign the comb of
Sales Org + Dist Ch----->00(cross division).
hope this will solve ur prob
rgds,
Raj..
