f i want to cancel a contract i can straight away got to va42 and cancel the contract what is the importance of contract profile in cancellation?please help

Hi Saurav,

Contracts are value based or Qty based and in real time most have huge amts. involved.

U need to create a Contract Profile in order to cancel a contract and assign it to the sales document type.

It involves:

1) Rules for determining Start and End date

2) Duration Category

3) Subsequent Activities

4) Cancellation Procedure

As its not a normal sales order whre u can enter a reason for rejection to cancel it

Sometimes contracts are cancelled midway through also.

Thus the contract profile will have all the details of cancellation like when he can cancel if the client wants to,

Subsequent activities Etc.....
