hi
This is Viswa Guntha i would like to know how to achieve encryption in XI i.e., For example i have an password while the password information is moving to XI. In XI the password XML tag content should deactivate. How to achieve this in outbound proxy.

Viswa
Hi,
Encrypt the password inside your outbound proxy
then it will go encrypted to the XI
later on you can decrypt this when needed

hi michal,
The answer which you have given is not suitable.
My question is i have password once the password information is entered into XI it should be deactivate i.e., if anybody is trying to see the password information using SXMB_MONI tcode the password xml tag content should deactivate with '*' or '#' or etc.,
please help me in this how to achieve.

viswa
Hi,
this is not possible
>>>SXMB_MONI tcode the password xml tag content should deactivate with '*' or '#' or etc.,
your approach is not correct:
- you can view XI data with so many other tools
not only as XML data but also as http data
so what this will not be encrypted?
you have to encrypt it before sending it to XI
this is the only proper solution

michal
k michel i agree with your resolution i.e., i will use above said function module to encrypt the password information before sending to XI and at the receiving side also i have the use the function module to decrypt. if i am using legacy system in receiving how can i decrypt it in XI itself or else is there any other option to decrypt it.
