Sorry, I posted this on a wrong forum (NetWeaver). So here I repeat the question.
Hello,
I installed NetWeaver + WAS 6.40 on my workstation, then used it for some weeks. Memory usage was too intensive for me, so I decided to remove it. But after uninstallation, I still continue in having a lot of memory used, let's say, about 600 MB, just at start up!
I remember, installation updated something in OS, but belive uninstallation restore OS to previous state, or not?
My platform is:
OS Windows XP SP1
CPU P41.8 ghz
RAM 512 MB
Well, after of this, I have tried to install WAS 6.40 on Itanium 2 / Windows 2003 Server Enterprise (64-bit edition), server is HP rx2600, but gotted some errors. Still I have the abnormal memory consumption, even if installation is rolled back!
OS Windows 2003 Enteprise (with all bugfixes applied)
CPU Itanium2 1.3 GHZ
RAM 2 GB
Is there some special WAS edition for this platform?
Thanks
Please watch your services if there is running anything that is named SAP or the service XServer.
Also be sure that you have repootet the machine after deinstallation (what should have happened by now,I guess)
WebAS is delivered for every supported platform in a special edition. Remember that ABAP brings it's own "virtual machine" that is platform dependend and that you need different Java VM's for different OS's.
Regards,
Benny
