goods receipt with inspection points

hi

my business process study reveels the following scenario

i need to do goods receipt inspection with inspection points

means the finish product say rice

i given paddy to the miller as a subcontarcting

iam getting rice as out put

i need to record inspction results on inprocess as well as at finish product

ie while processing from paddy to rice i will made timely inspection points and want to capture the result

and for final rice also i need to do inspection

how to achive this

if i chhose inspection type 04 and freeinspection points

system not accepting

plz suggest

while doing result recording i need to get as below

for inspection points

say MIC1,MIC 2 need to be recorded

for goods receipt

say MIC3,MIC4 NEED to be recorded

where as iam getting

for an inspection pont

all mc1,mc2,mc3,mc4

because i dont have routing iam having only inspection plan

in plan i gave inspection points.

and selected inspection type01

hope u got my problem

finally

i need to do resultrecording for inspection point without inspection lot

and in the same way i need to do gr inspection with inspection lot

In operation 10 of your inspection plan, enter character MIC1 and MIC2.

Create operation 20 in your inspection plan, (I'd call the text something like "Final Inspection") and add charac MIC3 and MIC4 to this operation.

Use free inspection points.

You can make as many or as few inspections as you want on either operation. typically you'd have mulitple inspections on operation 10 and one inspection on operation 20.

settings made:-

inspection type 03 and 01

mic1and mic2 kept in 0010 opn

mic3 and mic4 kept in 0020 opn

in plan qp01 header inspection points were given (free inspection points)

result:-

inspection lot was created

in result recrding inspection points were not appear

need clarifaction on:-

1.how to trigger inspection points for a particular operation?

2.in result recording i need inspecton point for oeration 0010?

here inspection lot not nesaasry

3.for open 0020 inspection lot to be genearted where i can do result recording?

plz suggest

For my proposal you use 04 inspection lot with early creation of the inspection lot.

Create an inspection plan with the proper usage for inspection type 04.

Select free inspection points in the header of the inspection plan.

Assign your characteristics. Release the plan.

Create and release your order. You should find an 04 inspection lot for it.

Select the lot, most work list will give a pop-up showing the two operations. Double click on the first one. Then you should get a pop-up asking for the inspection point identification. Enter in what ever you've set it up to require.

Record the results. Repeat previous step as often as you need to.

points not forr the operaation 0020

in result recording screen i need to record the data which is for 0010 opn only inspection point

You can't have inspection points for one operation and not the other. But with free inspection points you only need to record what you want to. So for opeartion 20, only record one sample.

Activate both inspection type 03 & 04.

And assign required inspection points in the header data screen of routings.

Do not mix with inspection with inspection points & final inspection.

As other memebr pointedout PL. activate inspection type 03 for inspection points & inspection type 04 for final inspection.

in subcontracting plant iam taking hourly inspection while processing.(inspection points)

here i need to do result recording only

after compleetion of production i need to check certain parameters before the gr

means the finish product need to be go to quality stock

***then i need to do result recording and ud for the lot***

for the above scenario i can create a inspection plan

not routing

Hi Sasi kanth

Inspection points inspection will be caried out for inspection type 03 ( in case of discrete mfg ) & 13 for ( incase of REM).

For GR inspection after production is completed , it should be 04 only.

This is the SAP Std Process.

I am not clear about your scenarion.

Pl. explain the scenarion still in detail.

For Inprocess sub contracting you have to maitain 0130 inspection type and 04 type for gr from production order.

Hi Srinivas,

You have select inspection type 03 for inprocess inspection and 04 for inspection from Goods receipt from Production.

Inspection type 03, you can define free inspection points and you may inspect either at fixed time intervals or copletion of each operation etc.
