we are able to create the JCo connections pointing to SAP R/3 server in WEBDYNPRO Content Administrator. We are getting the entries stored in SLD of Portal Server.

The messages are : JCo Connection are created successfully in SLD. but, JCo Connections are not started in WebDynpro Content Administrator(Jco connections are still in RED color).

what to do to make it up?

Hi

You need to configure JCO connections. Go to http://<machinename>:50000/webdynpro/welcome/Welcome.jsp

Click on content administrator and then select maintain JCO connections.

Now you will have 2 connections shown in red i.e one called WD_MODELDATA_DEST and the other WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST.

You will have to configure both by clicking on create.

For the First WD_MODELDATA_DEST select Application data

and for the second WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST select Dictionary Data.

For a detailed parameter list refer to help.sap.com.

Note: Before creating JCO connections ensure that you have the necessary system information created in SLD.

Only after you create the JCO connections , the icon will turn green.

Let me know if that helps you.

Hi Ravi,

Thanks for your information.

We have followed the same procedure.

We are creating the JCo connections to connect R/3 system(4.7EE version). We have followed the procedure specified in the Content Administrator Document.

After deploying the WebDynpro Application, Jco Connections are visible in Webdynpro content Administrator. Then we started creating the JCo Connection. At the end , it is displaying a message "JCo Connection is created successfully in SLD". But, JCo connections are not up and running.(still in red color).

can be the possible problem for it?

Thanks
