No authorization to purchase from product category 'Services'

Hi all,

while creating shopping cart i am getting the following error.

No authorization to purchase from product category 'ABC'..for whatever product category i create i am getting the same error.

i have assigned * in extended attributes tab for product category and also my backend system name.

i am working in SRM 5.0 classic scenario

More over i coudnt select the product also...after selecting the product and entering quantity,when i press add to shopping cart it shows the error

*No authorization to purchase from product category*

and also the product is not displayed.

can any one guide me in this.

Are you using PLM? If not, that is why you get the error on Product Type "Services".

Also, I believe you need to add that and possibly all of your Material Groups to the profile in the SRM Organizational Structure. It sounds like you may not be set up to shop for any of your product categories.

yes i coudnt shop for any product categories.

.(what do u mean by adding material groups in the profile of the organisation structure...it is one and the same i guess..correct me if i am wrong)

Hi,

Please assign the product category in the extended attributes tab in transaction PPOMA_BBP for that user.

This will allow the user to purchase that product category.

Dont use '*' but enter the specific values for the prod category.

Also raise an OSS message with SAP if the problem still persists.
