Delivery errors

In del my client is gettin 2 errors

1)Outbound delivery is on backorder(check shipping deadline).

2) item 10 matl staging date 11.3 replaced by current date.

PLss let me know what this meanss

Hi

back orders : orders which are not confirmed is called as back orders.. that is this order is not having the confirmed qty and delivery date.. this may happen due to insuffecient stock... i mean if there is no stock in the storage location when checking the availabilty check.. the system will not give the confirmation on delivery date and qty.. these kind of orders are called as back order...

go to VA02 -- go to detail -- item -- schedule lines and check the shedule lines...

for this you have to do the availabilty check again...

material staging date : when processing the sales order availability check the system checks the material staging date.. its nothing but in what date the material shoud be available to deliver the material on time at customer place...

this is calculated during the sales order on the following basis..

take this example

customer requested delivery date - 12 / 01 / 2008

transit time - 02 day

transportation lead time - 01 day

loading time - 0.5 day

packing time - 0.5 day

picking time..1 day

if we need to deliver the material on 12 th jan we need the material on 07 th jan (that's minus five days )

this 07 /01 / 2008 is called as material staging date.... if this date went to past then the system calculates the staging date again.. this change is your case
