Hi Gurus,
Question1.
I need to display the original files stored inside the windchill through SAP DIR. Between SAP and Windchill we donto have a real time interface or ERP connector. I have created a work station application called 'htm' and then defined the Data carrier with http URL of the windchill server. Now in the DIR I can create the link to the windchill server. This set up only taken me to the login page of the windchill where after I have to loign using an Id and password and then search for the required file from a list of files. Does any one know how to link or provide the direct path to the original file from DIR? Am I missing any step?
Question2.
Can any one pass me any document showing the steps to configure the vault for network servers. Client has different network servers with files to be linked inside DIR. We are not going for a content server concept. Apart from content server what is the best way to check in and checkout these files on the network server.

Hi Paddy,
regarding your second question I would recommend you to see SAP note 183119 which explains how to setup a vault for DMS usage.
For your first question I can tell you that you have to enter the direct link to the file location in Windchill
in the original path field. DMS is able to handle URLs as originals but they must not be checked in because they are already stored on a specific server. For all the necessary settings to link URL originals to document info records please see the WIKI page under:

Christoph
