Datatype creation error (namespace error)

Hello everybody,

while creating datatype, i am getting an error like

"namespace is not defined in the SWCV "

I have created my own software product and component.

Can anyone tell me the reason why i am getting this error and how to go about it?

Hi,

Just after creating a NameSpace you have to activate it. Otherwise system gives some time error.

One you have created namespace, goto Change list

find your SWCV, expand it and activate the first obect

It will give you a list of objects to be activated

Check all and click on activate

actrivate ur namespace immediately after creating it along with ur exchange fault data and ur can resolve it.

i faced a similar problem too.

Ur namespaces are not activated properly. The first step after creation of a new namespace should be activation of SWC and the datatypes ExchangeFaultData and ExchangeLogData. Then only u should proceed with other objects creation

Yes, As soon you create a NameSpace you have to activate it. Other if you active the namespace after creating Data Types or message types or other objects. system gives some time error.

So active a namespace as soon you create it.
