Follow the below procedure:

1) Define the MIME Types

u2022 Execute transaction SMW0.

u2022 Select Binary data for Web RFC applications and click the find button or press enter.

u2022 On the next screen enter development class SWF or any other package name and click the execute button.

2) This takes you to the SAP Web Repository: Object Display screen. Go to Settings >> Maintain MIME types.

u2022 In this screen, create new entries for the image formats you want to use if they do not already exist or you can click on create button.

Type Extension

image/gif *.gif

image/jpeg *.jpg, *.jpeg

3) Create an Object for the new Image

u2022 In the SMW0 transaction, go to the SAP Web Repository: Object Display screen as described above.

u2022 Click the create button.

u2022 Enter the object name and description, CUSTOM_LOGON_IMAGE for example, and click the import button.

u2022 Select the image file you want to use and click Transfer.

u2022 Confirm the pop-up about having to use an SAP development class.

u2022 In the next screen enter development class SWF. This is the same development class as the SAP standard image stored in the RIPPLE object. Click the save button and confirm the warning about the original system being set to SAP.

u2022 Depending on the configuration of your system you may be asked for a transport number.

4) Configure the System to use the Customized Image

u2022 Execute transaction SM30.

u2022 Enter SSM_CUST as the table/view and click Maintain

u2022 Create a new entry named START_IMAGE. Enter the name of the object holding the image created earlier (As in our case name of the object is CUSTOM_LOGON_IMAGE) and save it.

The change is in effect immediately after you save it. Do System >> Create session to see the results.

Hi,

First check if the "low speed connection" attribute of you saplog is activated. In that case the image is not loaded.

If this does not help, try to delete the sapgui cache directory on tour PC

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\SapWorkDir\SAP_Cache_<usrname>

1. The ZXXXX.GFI is my gif file name right, doesn't need to be the ZXXXX.GIF?

2. How can i check if the low speed connection attribute of my saplog is ACTIVATED?

I can't see the file i uploaded on the list of my webRFC it looks like it was not uploaded.

can some one please help me on this?

Do i need any rights to do this or i need to do it with a special user?

NOTE: I'm runing SAP ECC 6 on Windows 2003 Enterprise Server 64bit with SQL Server 2005.

Regards.
