Change of shopping cart without items with errors

Former Member

a shopping cart is still in the approval process and we know that the i.e. cost centre is wrong. The creator of the SC is not available, so the administrator should make some changes. This is possible with the SC monitor transaction for shopping cart items with errors, so I think it should also be possible for items without error.

What can we do to get the change button for all SC?

Hi,

Allowing administrator to change any SC presented an information integity issue since not every purchasing information is to be "opened" for example.

In this case where the requestor is absent for whatever reason, why not have a special process where the existing approver will add another adhoc approver (aka special administrator" to the SC. The new approver will have the authority to change the data in the SC on behalf of the requestor. This solve the data integrity issue since the request is made through the existing approver. At the same time, audit log is maintained.

Regards.

The problem in our case is, that an approver has no rights to change anything. The administrator is part of the purchasing department which is creating all shopping carts. If the first approver rejects changes would be possible even for other buyers, but we don't want contact the approvers. If anything is changed the complete approval workflow is starting again!

Hi,

the workflow security level will determine if the workflow will restart or not. It is not a must that changes to SRM document will restart the already completed workflow step. Did you set the right workflow level for the individual approval?

We have a very complicated approval process, but the design is wanted!

What we need is a possibility for changing a shopping cart as a substitute even the shopping cart has no errors!
