Kindly help on the followings:

What is the use of VPRS, EK01 and Ek02?

For material cost we are using VPRS why we need EK01 and EK02?

If needed, how and where we'd customize these.

Thanks

Hi,

Supose u have make to order scenarion, then costing is done in sales order i.e sales order costing and we maintain the selling price in PR00 in VK11 then VPRS is not used but instead EK02 gets the cost price via the requirment class 040 where it is assigned along with cost sheet etc...

Now we may have a case that we do cost based selling in MTO i.e if cost is Rs 1000 we add 20% margin and sell so to know cost in sales order EK01 is used it is below PR00 and above gross price .... then we can add margin to it and sell.

These r some good uses of EK01 and EK02...

It gets defaulted via the requirement class settings ...

Reward if made sense

Hi,

These are basically cost condition types which are used to take care of the Cost of the material. The difference between the selling price and these condition types will be used as the margin on the sale. This margin can be updated in some infostructures for report extraction at periodic intervals.

Based on the condition type, the cost is taken from various places in the pricing procedure.

The exact nature of these c.types can be found in the following links.

Hi Sarat,

Condition type EK01 is mainly used for cost-plus contracts in which the sales price depends on the expected costs.

Condition type EK01 is selected for sales document type TA (standard order). This means that the value from the cost estimate goes directly into pricing. A surcharge is calculated from this value and the net value for the sales order item is calculated.

Condition type EK02 is mainly used when the sales price is a market price and the expected costs are only used for informational purposes

Condition type EK02 is selected for sales document type TA (standard order). Pricing is carried out on the basis of condition type PR00. The material price is updated under condition type PR00, while the values from the cost estimate are updated under condition type EK02 and can be used for informational purposes.

Reward if useful.
