Hello,
We have a SAP R/3 system with maxdb, and the db increases the size about 500MB every day! We have only two societys and the client "100". I would like to know if this is a normal behaviour.
Thank you
Check if you are running the standard jobs:
- SM36
- Default Jobs
They will clean up the database.
On top of that, run RSADAT6M daily (note 352081 - Additional service-relevant functions for MaxDB) and see in DB50 - Statistics then the biggest tables and those who grow much.

Hi,
thanks for your response,
Well, in the table of standar jobs I find the following jobs:
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR
SAP_REORG_JOBSTATISTIC
SAP_REORG_XMILOG
SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP
SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_JOBSTATISTIC
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT
SAP_REORG_JOBS
SAP_REORG_SPOOL
SAP_REORG_UPDATERECORDS
SAP_WP_CACHE_RELOAD_FULL
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_JOBSTATISTIC
SAP_REORG_JOBS
SAP_REORG_SPOOL
SAP_REORG_UPDATERECORDS
SAP_REORG_XMILOG
SAP_WP_CACHE_RELOAD_FULL
SAP_REORG_JOBSTATISTIC
I think that we only need the SAP_REORG_BATCHINPUT, SAP_REORG_ABAPDUMPS and SAP_REORG_PRIPARAMS, but if I include this jobs to the list, will I gain a big space amount? Otherwise, the biggest table in the database are:
ACCTIT - 28GB (daily growth: ~75MB)
VBAP - 22 GB (daily growth: ~60MB)
LIPS - 18BG (daily growth: ~50MB)
I would like to know if this table size are normal in a SAP R/3 system. We have a lot of sale documents, but I don't understand how it can spend as much space in the DB
