Difference between EP and BSP

Can some one let me know the main difference between Enterprise Portal and Business Server Page and when one is prefered over the other?

I would appreciate it.

Hi,

Same differences as in between apples and bananas : both are fruits but nothing more in common.

EP is a software product sold by SAP to implement an Enterprise Portal.

BSP is a SAP development technology for web applications.

Common point : you can embed or access BSP applications from an EP portal.
